~ChRiStMaS BuCkEt LiSt SuCcEsS~

This week was our first week doing our Christmas bucket list and we got a few things crossed off, a few things that I was very excited to do! We made a homemade Christmas countdown that I hope we will keep for years and years to come, so that maybe someday it will be a favorite of our children because it will be one that they remember as little kids:)  We worked so hard on it (we were up till 2:30 in the A.M.) and I was so pleased at how it turned out! I love spending quality time like that with my husband:) We also got "Watch the Santa Clause" crossed off of our list. I just love that movie. It's probably one of  my favorites. The last one that we got crossed off was "Write letters to Santa." What me and Mitch did for this one was actually write letters to each other, addressed to Santa. How we did this was act as if we were talking to Santa. We told "Santa" what we enjoyed this past year and asked "Santa" what kinds of gifts we wanted for the year to come. Ex: "Santa one gift that I want this year is for me and Mitch to be healthy." Or: "A gift I would be grateful for is Mitch finding the job we are wanting ." Etc. Then me and Mitch will open these letters from each other on Christmas Eve. I'm pretty excited about it. I hope this become a fun tradition we look forward to every year! We still have quite a bit on out bucket list, and I can't wait to get more crossed off! In the mean time here a a few pictures that I took this week:)
What have you guys done so far this December?!
Spray painted an old cookie sheet with primer

Lots of craft supplies makes me happy:)

We used acrylic paint for the countdown, and chalk paint for the
top part of the countdown .

Busy, busy, busy. Messy, messy, messy.

All for these CUTE personalized Mitch and Haley countdown pieces with magnetic tape on the back. (Sorry couldn't get the picture the right way)

We put a ribbon where the 2 different paints end
as to hide the paint mess. I thought it added
a fun pop of color to it!

Drew 25 boxes with a black permanent marker.

The finished product! I was SO happy with it!

~Thanksgiving Week~

This week was so great, and it's sad that it has come to an end! As much as I love Sundays, I hate that it means back to reality we go. This week was so busy and so much fun. We prepared for Thanksgiving Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and celebrated Thursday with lots of food! This year it was spent with the Klinglers and was my first Thanksgiving away from home. Not going to lie it was kind of emotional and overwhelming for me (There are a lot of Klinglers(; ) but like I said before I was just grateful to be with Mitch. We also went and saw the Disney movie 'Frozen' and Oh. My. Goodness. It was the cutest thing ever! Mitch even liked it so much I think we're going to go to the theaters again and see it in 3D this time haha. So this year I decided to put what I am thankful for each day on Facebook, and I am so glad that I did. Each year lots of Facebook friends do this and I just never thought about doing it. I don't think i'll do it again, once was enough. The reason I say that is because its kind of sad that we usually only do this around the month of November. What this challenge has taught me is that we have things to be thankful for daily, and we shouldn't be expressing our gratitude publicly once a year for 30 days. ( I'm also not saying to put every little thing on Facebook that you are thankful for, people might start deleting you.) We have so much to be thankful for and i'm going to start remembering to be thankful for at least one thing once a day. Shouldn't be that hard! This month of December i'm going to challenge myself to think about Christ and least once a Day. That's what this month is about anyways right? That was till companies started making it about the money right? :) Anyways, I am in love with this time of year, and I can't wait to start doing all the fun Christmas festivities! (I also need to take more pictures so that I can put them on here so my blog isn't so boring(: )
Have a great Sunday!!

~ThE GrEaTeSt TiMe Of ThE YeAr~

Man I love this time of the year.Fall/Winter! People (mostly my husband) think that I am crazy for loving winter they way I do. But I can't help it, its the most magical time of the year! Ever since I was little I have been in love with this time of the year. I blame my mom and dad for it :) (they always made it so much fun for us kids.)  The falling snow, the Christmas Carols, being with family, the lights, and enjoying all the smells and baking that come with this season. This year I am especially excited for the holidays since last years Thanksgiving and Christmas Mitch and I decided to do them with our own families, since the next year we would be married and I would be missing Thanksgiving with my family, and Mitch would miss Christmas with his. That was seriously so hard for me, I wanted to be with Mitch sharing my two favorite holidays with him. I will be missing my family this Thanksgiving, but i'm so glad that I will be with my best friend for both Thanksgiving and Christmas! I hope that everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season! I know I will :)

Here are a couple of my Favorite Pictures from the Holiday Season :)

6 months later!

Wow, I'm really good at this blogging stuff haha. In my defense for not blogging like I said I was going to, we don't have Wifi so it has made it hard to blog.  It has now been six months since I last blogged, and has been a little over five months since Mitch and I got married:) What a five months it has been!
Just to catch everyone up, here is what has been happening the last five months:
Me and Mitchell were married on the 23rd of March. I woke up at 4:30 that morning to shower, get my makeup done, and jet off for Alena to do my hair. I was running a little late because doing my makeup and shaving my legs took a little longer than I had expected. I shot Alena a text telling her that I was coming and that I was "So sorry for being late". I slipped my flip flops on, stepped outside, and sunk in about 2 feet of snow. . . . . WHAT?! NO!!!!! I ran to my car as fast as I could, CRAP! I have to scrape my car off. My feet were freezing, the snow was coming down as fast as I could scrape, and I was late for my appointment. This was supposed to be the most beautiful day of the year! Why was it snowing like this in March?! I finally jumped into my car, cranked the heat on for my feet, and reversed down the driveway. The snow plows had not been out, so the roads were awful. Down the road a few miles I started thinking "I'm not going to make it to Alena's alive, I'm just going to turn around and wake Chelsy up and have her do my hair" If it wasn't for the big truck behind me riding my butt, I would have. I finally made it to Alena's pretty late, but the hair wizard that she is, finished my hair with plenty of time to spare.I made it back to Chelsy's Loaded my car and started on my way to Salt Lake City, where Mitch was sitting cozy in hotel, looking out at the clear skies thinking I was crazy for telling him how awful it was in Springville. I kept a prayer in my heart the whole time I was driving down the freeway going 35 miles an hour that "I would make it to my own wedding so that I could make it to the temple to marry the man of my dreams for time and all eternity." I was supposed to be at the temple at 9:00 and I pulled in about 9:05. My prayers were answered and I was only about 10 minutes late. Mitch waited for me in the parking garage, and when I turned the corner and saw him there, butterflies started fluttering like crazy! I was about to marry this man in 2 hours, and I couldn't wait! He loaded all of my stuff in my arms and we ran like crazy towards the temple haha. While me and Mitch were sitting in the celestial room, we were both very nervous. We never told each other that, but we could both sense it from one another. Heck, he could still run at this point ;) While sitting in that beautiful room, I was very emotional. The spirit there was so strong and I couldn't believe that I was about to marry my best friend and get to be with him for eternity. I always knew that marring Mitch was the right thing, but while I was sitting there I had the most overwhelming feeling that I was making the right choice and that I was doing the right thing. A sweet old lady came and got us to meet our sealer, and right from the start we knew he was going to be the best. He ushered us into the sealing room, I about burst into tears seeing all of our family and loved ones grinning from ear to ear as we walked in. Robert Fillmore was our sealer and did an amazing job, everyone was amazed with him. While sitting there, I knew that everything he was saying was coming from God, the spirit was so strong in that room, and Brother Fillmore was glowing the whole time. Mitch and I said our "yes's" and went to get changed so we could go and meet all of our family, and celebrate with them. I loved having all of our families there, and couldn't believe all the love and support they had given us. It was the most beautiful wedding ever. Of course I am biased because it was my own wedding. I wish I could get married all over again, to Mitch of course. I just love weddings.
After the festivities were over and the next day came, we drove to Vegas and stayed there for a week. We had a blast, and loved every minute of it. We stayed in 3 different hotels, and a very nice condo. It was so nice to have a relaxing week after 4 months of wedding stress. After our long wonderful week, we drove all the way to Victor for our reception.
We spent a couple of weeks with our families, and then we were off to Boise to look for a place to live before Mitch started School in May. OH MY GOSH. Looking for a place was probably the most awful thing we have been though together so far. We needed a place under $500, because I am the only one working while Mitch goes to school, we needed month to month, because Mitch's school is only 4 months long, and we didn't want to live in too trashy on an area haha. We finally found a place after 2 weeks that was in our price range. When we moved in I thought it was the end of the world! The day we were supposed to move in our landlord was still in there painting taking his sweet time. We didn't move in till that night at 11:00. I was furious. We got our bed set up and that was it. This place honestly was a wreck. The tenant before us was a smoker, and the landlord hardly cleaned up. The floors and countertops were still yellow and sticky, and the oven was caked with grease! The bathroom had not been cleaned, and neither had the TOILET if you get what I'm sayingI It was disgusting! (It reminded me of that 'Boy Meets World' episode where Cory and Toganga move into the dorms when they are first married) I wanted to leave so bad! AND we both have to travel 30-45 minutes a day. :-/ But the Lord has blessed us with the money that we have needed :) It has gotten better, and more homey feeling, but I'm still ready to leave haha
Mitch is still going to school and has loved every minute of it, other than the "know-it-all's" that he can't stand, but they make for good stories ;) He is doing so well with his school work, and gets almost all A's on his tests. I am so proud of him. He is looking for work right now, and its kind of scary because we could end up anywhere. I thought Boise was far away from home. . .HA not as far away as some of these jobs might take us! At this point in our lives, we're just hoping he gets a job. We'll have to worry about the location later. Mitch is getting ready to Graduate in two weeks, we both can't wait!
Right now, I'm working two jobs and staying very busy! I am a server at Sizzler still and am a Nanny for my aunt. So I watch my cousin Parker everyday from 12-4. I don't think I've ever been this busy before, but I think it's good for me. . . Maybe haha I'm just ready for the new Chapter in our lives, and can't wait to see what our new adventure will be.
Everyone have a Fabulous Saturday night!

3 Days 14 Hours 24 Minutes 30 Seconds

Ok so we're counting down the single digits now people! I am getting so excited! The only thing we have left to do is get the marriage license. . . Yeah talk about one of the most important things last minute. . . ;) haha
During this wedding planning some things that I have learned is that you can't let the wedding planning consume your life. You need to learn a balance between your relationships, and the planning. The last thing you want to do is have your finance thinking that you don't care about him and marrying him ;) haha

Anyways, I feel like I budgeted really well during this whole planning. One thing that I saved a TON of money on was a photographer. People here in Utah were wanting to charge me 1800 dollars. I know, I know, that's what people charge and its their profession, but I just could no afford that! So I found someone that lived in Weston for a little while, and I am friends with her on Facebook and she was always taking pictures and posting them, and they were beautiful! So I thought that I would ask her how much she would charge me to do a wedding. Well cool thing, she told me that she works with the brides budget, so I told her what my budget for a photographer was, and she told me what she could do for me with that! She is amazing and is so talented! I am so pleased at what she has done for us! A special thanks to Lacie Kirk Photography! :) So people if you are looking to save money have Lacie take your pictures;), or maybe even tell a photographer what your budget is and maybe they can do something for you with your price! Never hurts to ask. :)

Well that's all for the night! Everyone have a great Tuesday night!

~Blogging Again/ Our Story~

So, I've tried this blog this before, and it didn't work out so well. I just don't find life about only me very exciting haha. I thought I would start one with me and Mitchell, and take this one with a different approach :) I also thought that it would be fun to blog about everything that has gone on with my wedding planning, I feel like I found some pretty great deals, and if what I did could help out any future brides, then great, maybe save them time and money as well:)

So I feel like I need to tell a little about Mitchell and our story, since not a lot of people know him.

Mitchell:
Mitchell grew up in Idaho, and went to school at Teton High ( I think that's what the name of it was haha) So he lives really close to Jackson Hole. Mitch is the baby of the family, he has 2 older brothers, and an older sister. Mitch went on a Mission to Brazil, and speaks Portuguese. He's getting ready to go to school as a lineman (Electrician stuff), so yeah. . . just a little background information:)

Our Story:
Me and Mitchell met over two years ago. . . Kinda. The reason I say kinda, is because 6 years ago my sister Chelsy got married and guess what, we were both at the wedding. We were at the temple together, and at both receptions together. Do I remember him? No. Does he remember me? Probably, but he says he doesn't, that would be awkward him remembering me, but me not remembering him ;) haha (JK) Any-who  I was a Freshman, and he was a big bad senior. He graduated, I stayed in high school. He lived at home for a year, I stayed in high school. Mitch went on a mission for 2 years, and I stayed in high school! haha But it finally came time for me to graduate, and I moved to Pocatello to go to school. One night while sitting in my apartment I get a text from my sister saying "Send me a picture of you" So I did, not asking "why?" and sure enough she had sent that picture to "some boy" A little later I get a text from some random number saying that his name was Mitch and that he got my number from Chelsy. So of course I get right on the phone with Chelsy. "Who is this boy?!" "Oh its Adams cousin, and he just got off his mission, you should come down this weekend and meet him." Of course me being freshly out of high school thought "SWEET Boys and a road trip!!" So I went. Long story short, we met, that's it haha. I came back to Pocatello, he went to BYU-I, we would text occasionally, but nothing interesting. We both lived our lives, and had lots of stuff happen to us, we were all over the place in our living situations, and thats about it.

Fast Forward:
August 2012:
Mitchell was living down in Utah, and after I got done with my semesters at BYU-I so did I. All my family asked me if when I went down there "Are you gonna try things out with Mitch?" every time I said "NO! we're just going to be friends", Just like he was telling his family. . .  Well one thing led to another, and we both realized that neither one of us could live without each other! :)  And here we are, getting married in 23 days! So crazy how the time flies! I can't wait to marry him! He is my best friend and I don't know where I would be without him today!

So there you have it, our story! I like our story ;) and I am so grateful that I am getting my "Happily Ever After" with Mitch!
